Plata opened its doors in June 2004, and very quickly realised that it needed to develop a website in response to the demands of our valued customers, some of whom cannot visit the shop as often as they would like.

The rapid success led us to open our second shop in October 2005 at 591 Lisburn Road, Belfast.

We specialise in hand made Mexican silver jewellery, branded watches from Guess, Storm, Diesel, DKNY, Fossil, Tommy Hilfiger and D&G. These are complemented with our gift range from LSA glassware, Designer giftware and Newbridge gifts.

Given that all our jewellery is hand made our products cannot have a uniform finish as in mass production. Tiny scratches, hammer marks and other minor imperfections are part of its charm. These little flaws are a sign of authenticity and are your guarantee that it is indeed a handmade piece. We also deal directly with the silversmiths in an effort to produce top quality products at reasonable prices.
